Today, we had the privilege of getting a private tour of the Palace, one of the properties owned by the Budini-Gattai family, who also own the Villa where we just had our ten-day writing/yoga/cultural exploration retreat.
Rodolfo, our host at the Villa, the 12th of 13 children of his generation of Budini-Gattais, and his wife, Virginia, gave us a remarkable and intimate tour of the Palace, where they live when they’re in Florence, along with several other family members.
The Palace is also used as a site for weddings and other special occasions. And right on the other side of their back garden wall is the David statue!
